Julie and Iain's Wedding at Herstmonceux Castle

After only shooting one wedding at Herstmonceux Castle in two years, like buses, two come along at once!

The Castle is a stunning place to have a wedding and added to the fact that it is only 20 minutes from home, it really is one of my favourite venues. Over the years i have worked at countless weddings there and really know the place inside out. The biggest challenge is always trying to do something a tad different at each wedding i shoot there and luckily Iain and Julie were up for it.

They were actually married at the picturesque All Saints Church, Herstmonceux and we were able to walk 5 minutes or so up the drive from the castle to the church. Fortunately it was a lovely sunny day.

The only sad part of the day, was the vicar's blanket ban on all photography in church, despite the fact that she allowed both videographers to cover the whole ceremony! I can only assume she has had a bad experience or two in the past from "unprofessionalism" of other photographers. Its is always such a shame that these folks let the side down and ruin it for others.

At this stage i should add that it was a pleasure to work with my good friend, toastmaster Paul Smith (http://www.paulsmith-toastmaster.co.uk/) who ensured the day went smoothly and was a lot of fun.

Below are a few favourite images of mine from the day and as ever the rest are viewable on my website www.peterprior.com .
